The executable file awhost32.exe is mainly responsible for launching applications related to Symantec’s pcAnywhere software suite. The process, which is called pcAnywhere Host, provides network Administrators with tools to remotely manage computers within the network. The Administrator can gain access to network PCs through the host computer, provided that the Administrator knows each computer’s password and/or log-in ID. Corporate services can be passed on to the entire network without having to manually configure each computer. The software likewise provides tools to check system statuses, files, and processes to see if anything is not working within its standard functions, hence; they can troubleshoot issues without having to b physically present at the site of the other computer. The software is also installed by individual users for personal use. They can remotely access their home computers while at the office. This is a helpful tool since file transfers can be done remotely, which means if you need anything from the other computer, you can simply access the files from anywhere the host computer is.
