Away Scheduler is a component of Away Manager, an application installed on Lenovo laptops, and executed through awaysch.exe. The process allows the user to schedule specific maintenance tasks to make sure that the system is always in good condition. This is a helpful process in terms of system performance. What sets this process apart from other task schedulers is that this process operates in whisper mode, which basically means it does not use too much system resources to perform its scheduled tasks. The user defines the amount of resources for each specific scheduled task, preventing resource hogging. In this regard, you will hardly ever notice that the process is performing a specific scheduled task at the moment that you are using the computer because it does not compromise the performance of the main applications running alongside it. The file executes its process through explorer.exe. It can be found installed in C:\Program Files\Lenovo\AwayTask\awaysch.exe. Its startup identifier is “AwaySch.”

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. awaysch.exe. is used by Away Scheduler, If you shut down awaysch.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop awaysch.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Away Scheduler, from your system.
