Called as pcAnywhere Host Driver for Windows (version 2000, 2000/XP), the process aw_host5.sys, which is a driver (SYS) file, is a component of the software product pcAnywhere or Symantec pcAnywhere, which is developed by Symantec, or Symantec Corporation. When the program that houses the file is downloaded onto the computer, aw_host5.sys is stored in a file folder, usually located in C:\Program Files, sometimes in C:\Windows, or in C:\Documents and Settings, registered into the Windows registry, and automatically run in the background. The aw_host5.sys is a Windows module, which suggests it works with certain versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, or Windows operating systems, also Windows OS, such as Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME, which are popularized and designed by Microsoft Corporation.
