This dynamically loaded or linked file can control or alter the activities or behavior of other applications. A DLL file can inject itself into other running processes. This program does not use a visible window. The avpshlex.dll file has no digital signature. Automatic startup locations for this process include HKLM *\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers, ContextMenuHandlers and HKCU Folder\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 provides security by combining security technologies and Internet-based functions. It detects unknown and new threats. Kaspersky Security Network uses data from users to provide defense from the latest malware and viruses. It monitors and analyses potential threats in real time. It blocks malicious actions before they are executed. It also identifies phishing and suspicious Websites.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avpshlex.dll. is used by Kaspersky Anti-Virus, If you shut down avpshlex.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop avpshlex.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Kaspersky Anti-Virus, from your system.
