The avkcks.exe file is the process called G Data InternetSecurity that is used by the application G Data InternetSecurity version 2011 that is developed by G DATA Software AG. This program has a visible window. This file no longer exists. As an executable file, this process starts when you start up Windows. The registry key of this process is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit. It is not a core file for Windows system. This file has a digital signature from G DATA Software AG with certificate issued by VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer. The Winlogon Userinit is the automatic startup location for this process. G DATA InternetSecurity is a software that is designed to protect your computer system from viruses, spam and other threats from the Internet.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avkcks.exe. is used by G Data InternetSecurity, If you shut down avkcks.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop avkcks.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is G Data InternetSecurity, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
