Known by the service name AvgAgent - Remote Administration Helper Service, the process avgagent.exe, a type of an executable or EXE file, is a component of the program AVG Anti-Virus system, or AVG7 Remote Support Service (AvgAgent), or AVG Remote Administration, or Java 2 Runtime Environment, which is created by GRISOFT, s.r.o, or AVG Technologies CZ, s.r.o. The software product that houses avgagent.exe is basically a security application that is recommended to be downloaded onto the computer, so it protects the system and the data within it against threats, such as viruses, worms, Trojan horses, and spyware. Because it is an essential and digitally signed file (AVG Technologies - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2), avgagent.exe needs to remain running in the background of the computer, whether a desktop PC or a laptop. In addition, avgagent.exe is compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, or Windows operating systems, or Windows OS, including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avgagent.exe. is used by AVG Anti-Virus system or AVG7 Remote Support Service (AvgAgent) or Java 2 Runtime Environment, If you shut down avgagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop avgagent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AVG Anti-Virus system or AVG7 Remote Support Service (AvgAgent) or Java 2 Runtime Environment, from your system.
