The autosrv.exe file is associated with the program Windows HCT developed by Microsoft Inc. The process is located in the subfolder C:\Program Files. Windows HCT refers to Windows Hardware Certification Kit that is previously known as Windows Logo Kit. Microsoft has developed this product as a test automation framework that can certify devices Windows. It creates an automated scheduling and execution of driver tests that require hardware vendors to pass so that they can qualify to use Microsoft Designed for Windows Logo. This program also allows users to automate self-created driver tests. The Microsoft Logo tests can be mixed and matched with these tests to come up with custom test pass that allows organizations to utilize DTM for driver validation.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. autosrv.exe. is used by Windows HCT, If you shut down autosrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop autosrv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Windows HCT, from your system.
