What is  autohotkey.exe

AutoHotkey, or AutoHotkey_L, is the service name of the file process called autohotkey.exe, and a component of the program AutoHotkey, also referred to as Warkeys. AutoHotkey is a type of macro language software that is written to have the functionality to automatically run different tasks in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, which include Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME. Basically, this file can stimulate movements of mouse and key strokes, as well as re-map keys, and replicate various management functions of Windows. As a free open-source utility tool for Windows OS, AutoHotkey enables a user to automate programs through mouse clicks and keystrokes, by using the keyboard macro or macro recorder. This process also allows a user to create hotkeys for mouse, keyboard and joystick; custom data entry forms, menu bars, and user interfaces; expand variations when typing them; and convert script into an executable file (EXE). Therefore, autohotkey.exe is an essential file, because of its different tasks in the system, so it is advisable to keep it running in the background.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. autohotkey.exe. is used by AutoHotkey or Warkeys, If you shut down autohotkey.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop autohotkey.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AutoHotkey or Warkeys, from your system.
