What is  authserver.exe

Auth Service, or AuthService, is the service name of the executable file called authserver.exe, and a part of the program Auth Service, which is developed by Nimbus Directory Services, also known as Nimbus DS. Auth Service is a type of software that is designed as simple, lightweight JSON service that is used to authenticate and provision users over the Internet. It is also made to work with different LDAP v3 compatible director as a back-end user store, and supports provisioning of details of some selected users. To simplify this, it is used from different web applications, or as part of the SSO, which is the abbreviation of Single Sign-On arrangement. As a core component, authserver.exe is a type of module that does not only execute its own function, but also launches other processes, and completes the software. Other than that, authserver.exe is essential and must not be terminated or stopped, unless it is causing errors that affect or slow down the performance of the computer system.
