The process is also sometimes called AutoUpdater Module. The process is the general auto updater for all Norton AV software. This means that whatever type or version of Norton AV you have installed on the computer; you will get the same auto updater file. If you have configured this file to run automatically, it will look for updates whenever you are connected to the Internet, and if any are found, you will be alerted that there are updates ready for download. The file is set to launch when the PC boots. You may disable the file if you wish to simply manually look for updates whenever you deem it necessary.
