The attune_ce.exe file belongs to the product Attune Client Engine. It is developed by Aveo Inc. The process is created to provide solutions to computer problems that you encounter. You may enable or disable it on your computer by going to Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel. The location of the attune_ce.exe file is in “C:\Program Files” subfolder. The file size is 356,728 bytes on Windows 7 or XP. The process has a visible window. It is not a core file for Windows. The attune_ce.exe file is signed by Verisign. It loads when Windows boots up. The registry key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. The file can monitor applications. The program Attune sends Intelligrams or messages to the end users in plain English to inform them of how to avoid problems commonly encountered by the computer. It will also inform users how to optimize their computer’s use by informing them when they need a certain service, product or update.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. attune_ce.exe. is used by Attune Client Engine, If you shut down attune_ce.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop attune_ce.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Attune Client Engine, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Attune Client Engine, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
