ASR Service is the term used as the service name for the process asrsvc.exe, which is an executable or EXE file, and is a component of the software product labeled as Auto Screen Rotate, or ASR, which is developed by Lenovo Group Limited. The asrsvc.exe file is not just a basic part of the program, but since it is digitally signed from Lenovo(Japan)Ltd. - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2, it is considered to be an essential component. Also, the asrsvc.exe file is a Windows module, or in other words, it is compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, otherwise known as Windows operating systems, or simply called Windows OS, including new or later versions, such as Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME, which are produced by Microsoft Corporation.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. asrsvc.exe. is used by Auto Screen Rotate, If you shut down asrsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop asrsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Auto Screen Rotate, from your system.
