Esmart Agent is another term of the process file asment.exe. This file belongs to the software eSMART Agent itself which was made by Dell Inc. This file can be usually found in the directory C:\Program File which has the size of 106,496 bytes. The size may vary on different versions of Operating System used such as Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The program is considered hidden for it has no visible window on which the user may have to the configure the behavior of the software. This software also does not belong to the Windows core system file. This application can track the software inventory and hardware devices and it has an extension called theft alert technology which could track the stolen device's location through its IP address. The software is not recommended to be remove however, the user may still have the option to remove the process by removing the whole software giving space for other prioritized processes.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. asmagent.exe. is used by eSMART Agent, If you shut down asmagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop asmagent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is eSMART Agent, from your system.
