Known as ASFSipc Object as the service name, the process asfsipc.dll is an example of a dynamic link library or DLL file, and is a component of the software product branded as Microsoft DRM or Sonic RecordNow DX, which is developed by Microsoft Corporation. The program Microsoft DRM, which stands for Digital Rights Management, is designed with the purpose of restricting the use of digital media, in order to provide copy protection. As a component, the asfsipc.dll file serves different functions in a Windows computer, and must not be terminated when it is stored on the computer or Windows registry, because it can disable the overall function of the software that houses it. Moreover, the asfsipc.dll file is a Windows-compatible module, which means it runs in versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems,including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. asfsipc.dll. is used by Microsoft DRM or Microsoft Digital Rights Management or Sonic RecordNow DX, If you shut down asfsipc.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop asfsipc.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft DRM or Microsoft Digital Rights Management or Sonic RecordNow DX, from your system.
