The ASFagent.exe process is the process file that loads the Intel Alert Standard Format Console. The ASFagent.exe file functions to send and receive events via the Alert Standard Format or ASF specifications. ASFAgent Task Manager is an essential component of the Dell OpenManage Client. DOC controls, manages, and monitors various functions of Dell computer's functions and operations. ASFagent.exe helps configure the hardware, the software, and to administrate the entire system. Dell OpenManage is a collection of system management modules that are programmed to use industry-standard specifications and protocols. The IT Assistant of Dell OpenManage is a standards-based console for Dell server management, printers, storage arrays, network switches, tape libraries, and clients distributed throughout the entire network. Through s central console, the user is able to gain control over the Dell platforms available via alerts and notification. Dell IT Assistant identifies system problems and gives alerts to the administrator — helps reduce system risk that could impact business. By using the online graphical interface, the user can monitor the system anywhere within the network.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. asfagent.exe. is used by ASFAgent Task Manager, If you shut down asfagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop asfagent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ASFAgent Task Manager, from your system.
