What is  apwsrv.exe

The apwsrv.exe process is also known as Intel PROSet or Wireless WiMAX Service. This program file was developed by Intel. The WiMAX acronym stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access. The Wireless WiMAX is a broadband access technology. It provides internet access similar to Wi-Fi networks. A user is provided with a WiMAX gateway upon purchasing or requesting a WiMAX connection. This gateway device is available in two versions – the indoor and outdoor. An external modem such as USB can also provide WiMAX connectivity through dongles. This *.exe program file is designed to enable users to access and surf the internet. The Wireless WiMAX Service provides up to 30 to 40 megabit-per-second data rates. The Wireless WiMAX can provide internet access at home but can also cover wide range of areas such as cities. Its service can even reach across countries.
