What is  apsdaemon.exe

The Apple Push Notification Service is a process that is linked to the file apsdaemon.exe. This is an application that is needed if you sync your Apple devices to iTunes, through your PC. The service runs as a background process, and launches every time you boot your system. It has been reported to consume a considerable amount of CPU memory. The file allows users to connect their iPods, iPhone, iPad, and iTouch devices to iTunes, for transferring data. If the user no longer connects to iTunes, but instead uses Apple’s iCloud app; then disabling the file is recommended, to save on CPU resources. You may also disable the file if you do not use iTunes to transfer data to and from your device, but instead only use iTunes for purchasing music. File size average is 57.85 KB. Users can locate the file stored in its standard path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\apsdaemon.exe. The file is compatible with Windows XP and Windows 7 Home Premium.
