The apl.exe process is an executable component file of the Sage ACT! software that implements the required ACT! 2005 assemblies and deploys the necessary .NET framework before the Sage ACT! application is loaded unto the system. The apl.exe process is specifically deployed as the executable program dispatcher file of the ACT! Pre-Loader application, which is a small program built into version 7.0.2 of the Sage ACT! software. The apl.exe process is placed in the system upon the installation of the Sage ACT! v7.0.2 program, which is a Windows application classified as a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool designed by Sage Group with a set of features for recording client and customer details in a database embedded with multiple local and remote network admin access and tracking functionalities. The apl.exe file is included as one of the many EXE component processes among other files and resource libraries of the software utilities bundled into the installer distribution packages of the Sage ACT! v7.0.2 software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. apl.exe. is used by Sage ACT! V7.0.2 and ACT! Pre-Loader Application, If you shut down apl.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop apl.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sage ACT! V7.0.2 and ACT! Pre-Loader Application, from your system.
