What is  antivir

Antivir is a shortened version of antivirus, an essential software that every computer, laptop, notebook, and even smartphone should have. Antivirus software keeps all malicious files off your system – at least most of the time. Unfortunately, not all antivirus programs are one hundred percent effective and efficient in warding off every type of malicious file. There are some highly potent viruses that are not easily detected by AV programs. There is one specific, rather popular AV software provider that uses the term “antivir” in its product name: Avira AntiVir antivirus suite. There are antivirus programs that specifically target certain types of harmful files, such as those that were designed and developed to zero-in on malware, spyware and adware. There are also those that were developed to find more complex viruses like the infamous backdoor Trojan. An effective antivirus software protects your system whether you are online or offline. AV programs should be left running in the background to enable them to catch malicious files in real-time.
