The anio.sys process is a system driver file deployed into the system by the firmware components and driver software utilities that are packaged with the D-Link Wireless DWLG501 product, which is a networking device that integrates wireless local and remote network connectivity into Windows-based computers. The anio.sys driver file assists these firmware distributions and device driver software resources in facilitating data transmissions and establishing communications between the D-Link Wireless DWLG501 device, the associated motherboard components, chipsets and i/O ports, the Windows system and various applications that require network connectivity features from the computer. The anio.sys driver file is integrated into the system alongside other SYS driver utilities, certain EXE program files, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, specific background process items and various component files and resource libraries upon the installation of these D-Link device drivers and firmware utilities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. anio.sys. is used by D-Link Wireless DWLG501 Firmware/Driver Software, If you shut down anio.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop anio.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is D-Link Wireless DWLG501 Firmware/Driver Software, from your system.
