The amplusnetprivacytools.exe file is an executable application process that has been reported by many users and system administrators as a malicious program associated with the Mal/Generic-A application, which is a known family of Trojans that infects Windows-based systems. The amplusnetprivacytools.exe process, according to the same user reports, is claimed to be capable of contacting predesignated Web servers that are operated and managed by its authors, in order to download more malware items unto the compromised system. These users also state that the amplusnetprivacytools.exe process is capable of automatically running during system startup due to certain entries and keys it can create and inject into the Windows System Registry upon the successful placement and activation of the amplusnetprivacytools.exe process in the Windows-based system. The amplusnetprivacytools.exe process is said to covertly operate as a hidden background process during system runtime, in order to search for unprotected TCP/IP network ports that it can use to initiate contact with the remote servers of its authors.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. amplusnetprivacytools.exe. is used by Mal/Generic-A, If you shut down amplusnetprivacytools.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
