File amcis.dll is a Dynamic Link Library file also known as Stub Loader Module designed for Stub Module or Capture Express software. The file is located on C:\Windows\System32 folder and at times found on C:\Program Files subfolder with file size at 45,056 bytes on both Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems. This file is a Browser Helper Object or BHO which cannot be detected by personal computer firewalls or antivirus programs because it acts as the browser itself. This file also loads up when users use their internet browser. Capture Express or Stub Module software, an associated program to the file amcis.dll, enables users to capture basic screens of the computer as well as windows and rectangular areas. Users can also capture different items in different shapes using this software. The software allows users to choose shapes and borders for their screen captures.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. amcis.dll. is used by Stub Module or Capture Express, If you shut down amcis.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop amcis.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Stub Module or Capture Express, from your system.
