The Dynamic-Link Library process file, alotbho.dll (version 2.5.22000.0), is a registered CLSID and is considered as a module that is conceived as a plugin to provide additional functionality for the Internet Explorer Web Browser of Microsoft. This is furthermore considered as a Browser Helper Object (BHO) that runs automatically upon the start-up of the Internet Browser. It is identified to be known as alot.dll, and is a part of the software ALOT Toolbar, Barra de herramientas ALOT or ALOT Symbolleiste or Barre d’outils ALOT by Vertro. It has several features that includes, being a digitally Verisign signed file, and is not a Windows system file nor has the feature of having a visible window. The unique ID of this BHO is 14CEEAFF-96DD-4101-AE37-D5ECDC23C3F6, where the file size on Windows 7/XP is at 817,576 bytes with 18% on all incidences or 812,840 bytes. The process file is found to be located in subfolder C:\Program File. Its functionality is able to monitor applications such as the Internet Browser, manipulate other programs and has the ability to record inputs. Moreover, the process file can institute changes that can be seen in the Internet Explorers’ interface that of which is the installation of toolbars, but this can also run without having any alterations to the interface.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. alotbho.dll. is used by ALOTBHO, If you shut down alotbho.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop alotbho.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ALOTBHO, from your system.
