The aliide.sys process is a type of driver file known as Alilde or Ali mini IDE Driver, which is also the same name of the software that houses it, ALi mini IDE Driver or AliIde, a product developed by Acer Laboratories Inc., also called as ALi Corporation. This file is digtailly signed by another leading company, which is Microsoft Corporation, with signature Microsoft Windows - Microsoft Time-Stamp Service, and therefore, recommended to keep it stored on the Windows computer, regardless of its file folder location. As a driver file, aliide.sys has certain task that enables the installation of a program or other applications related to or compatible with it. It is necessary to keep it running in the background, either it automatically runs in during Windows startup, or manually executed by the user. Also, other processes that are bundled in the program Alilde or Ali mini IDE Driver may call for the aliide.sys file, so they can be launched.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aliide.sys. is used by AliIde or ALi mini IDE Driver, If you shut down aliide.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
