The process algsrvs.exe is an executable file that is a part of EPSON Advanced Printer Driver (version 3). It is a Microsoft Windows Printer Driver for EPSON TM/EU/BA printers and DM-D customer displays. This Driver allows the use of EPSON original Printer Status function, enables use of unique TM Series printer functions for image printing, network connection, spooling processing and other environments. It has easy applications development in non-PoS Windows environments. EPSON is a key player on Unified PoS, OPoS and JavaP0S. However, when installed improperly, algsrvs.exe could be a potential malware detected by antivirus software programs. Symantec categorizes algsrvs.exe file as a W32.SillyDC or W32.SillyFDC. Microsoft also tags the process file as Worm:Win32/VB or Worm:Win32/Autorun.XFO. This could alter the user PC causing its slow performance. It can affect or damage legitimate files and programs in the computer system. In this case, manual termination of the process is recommended.
