The alcohol.exe file is an EXE application process integrated into the system upon the installation of the Alcohol 120% software, which is a Windows program classified as a multimedia disk and image authoring tool developed with a set of features for copying CDs, DVDs and Blue-Ray disks, burning audio/data/video content unto these optical media disks, creating disk images and implementing virtual drives that can be used to open and view the content of these disk images. The alcohol.exe process is specifically deployed into the Windows-based system as the program dispatcher file of the Alcohol 120% software, which means users can execute the alcohol.exe file in order to load the Alcohol 120% application unto the system. The alcohol.exe process calls on other executable program files of the Alcohol 120% software, along with certain SYS driver utilities, some system and application DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, specific system and background process items among various component files and resource libraries, in order to integrate the embedded functionalities of the Alcohol 120% application into the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. alcohol.exe. is used by Alcohol 120%, If you shut down alcohol.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop alcohol.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Alcohol 120%, from your system.
