D-Link WLAN Application, or D-Link Wireless LAN Monitor, is the process name of the executable file airncfg.exe, and a part of the program D-Link RangeBooster N DWA-140, also D-Link DWA-525, or D-Link Xtreme N Dual Band, or D-Link Xtreme N Dual Band DWA-160, or D-Link DWA-125, which is created by D-Link Corporation. This file is not just an ordinary process, but a digitally signed module by the same company that developed it, which is D-Link Corporation, and the signature is VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2, which makes it a vital component that must not just be terminated or stopped, unless it causes errors that affect the software or the system performance. When the program that houses this module is installed onto the computer, airncfg.exe is also downloaded, registered with run identifier called D-Link D-Link DWA-525, as well as the execution command 'C:\Program Files\D-Link\DWA-525 revA\AirNCFG.exe, into the Windows registry labeled as HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, stored on folder location, and automatically run in the background.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. airncfg.exe. is used by D-Link RangeBooster N DWA-140 or D-Link DWA-525 or D-Link Xtreme N Dual Band or D-Link Xtreme N Dual Band DWA-160 or D-Link DWA-125 by D-Link, If you shut down airncfg.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
