The filename ag_iptd.exe was introduced to the Prevx community on the 19th of November 2008 in Germany. This file performs several behaviors including modifying the Windows Host File which could be used to stop users visiting specific web sites by redirecting them to alternative addresses without their acknowledgement. Like other files, this is subject to the behavior of creating new Background Service on the machine. This process is a property of the software AppGate IP Tunneling Driver that is located at the subfolder of C: \ Program Files. Although it is not visible, this file is a Windows system file. It has a rating of 74% dangerous. When users encounter problems in connection with AppGate IP Tunneling Driver, they can have it removed completely through Control Panel. Most antivirus software detects ag_iptd.exe as a malware or virus. Users can check their computers on this matter.
