The executable file, aexagentactivate.exe (version 6.0.0.2403), is also identified as an activation Altiris Agent or Aex Agent Activate that is part of the software Altiris Agent as developed by Altiris. It is featured to have a visible window but is not considered belonging to a Windows core file. The process file aexagentactivate.exe is usually located in the folder Program File\altiris\alt agent where upon start-up entry level has the Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run with the directory of %PROGRAMFILES%Altiris\Altiris agent. The process file is found running in the Task Manager as the process aexagentactivate.exe has a file size on Windows 7/XP of 143,360 bytes at 60% on all occurrences, or 139,264 bytes. In functionality, it has the capability of monitoring applications and has a use for remote management and is able to send information for the objective of assets and development about the computer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aexagentactivate.exe. is used by Altiris Agent, If you shut down aexagentactivate.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop aexagentactivate.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Altiris Agent, from your system.
