Known by the service name Creative JetDetect or Jet Detection, the adgjdet.exe file is an executable or EXE process, and a part of the software product called HdPhDetector Application, also Creative Restore Defaults, or Soundblaster Sound Cards Drivers, or SoundBlaster Live!, or Audigy Soundcards for Headphone Autodetection, which is created by Creative Labs. When the program, which is basically related to sound card driver application, is downloaded, adgjdet.exe, as a part of the components, is also installed onto the computer, where it is stored in a folder location, whether in C:\Program Files, C:\Windows, or C:\Documents and Settings, registered into the Windows registry, and automatically run in the background. In addition, adgjdet.exe is able to run in most or all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2000, and Windows NT, and regardless of the Windows OS, this file needs to continue running as a background process.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. adgjdet.exe. is used by HdPhDetector Application or Creative Restore or Soundblaster Sound Cards Drivers, If you shut down adgjdet.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop adgjdet.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HdPhDetector Application or Creative Restore or Soundblaster Sound Cards Drivers, from your system.

Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
