This process file, adefragservice.exe, is an executable defragmenting application that is owned by the Ashampoo Magical Defrag software. The usual location for this file is on C:\Program Files. At other times, it can easily be located on the ‘My Files’ folder of a Windows computer. This file does not display a visible window when running so it operates in the background. This is also not a Windows core file process but can monitor data input as well as change other applications running in the background. It can be disabled depending on the choice of the user. This file has an important role in maintaining the computer. The defragmenting process offered by its software is essential to keep computers in shape. Defragmenting a computer as necessary removes all temporary files that may have been accumulated over time of using the computer on games, internet browsing, data collection, and many others. The defragmentation process cleans the computer of unnecessary files that eat up the space of the system that would eventually cause poor PC performance.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. adefragservice.exe. is used by Ashampoo Magical Defrag, If you shut down adefragservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
