The acsdpa.exe process is an executable program file integrated into Windows-based client computers connected to enterprise LANs (Local Area Networks), enterprise WANs (Wireless Area Networks) or enterprise remote networks that are implemented with ACS Data Protection Agent (DPA) security technology, which is a Windows network footprint program developed by Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) for enhanced enterprise network management and for organizing disk encryption status and network hardware details in local and remote databases. When required, the ACS Data Protection Agent software also provides remote capabilities that allow network administrators to deny or restrict access to DPA-enabled devices and systems connected to the secured network. The acsdpa.exe file is placed in the system upon the integration of the ACS Data Protection Agent software into the Windows-based client computer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. acsdpa.exe. is used by ACS Data Protection Agent (DPA), If you shut down acsdpa.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop acsdpa.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ACS Data Protection Agent (DPA), from your system.
