Termed as Not applicable or AutoCAD LT Application as its service name, the process called aclt.exe, which is an executable or EXE file type, is a component of the software product called AutoCAD (version LT 2002), or AutoCAD LT, or Not applicable, which is created by Autodesk Inc. AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT, is a graphic design program that is developed and used to create 2D drawings, document them, and optimize them in the DWG as their file format, as well as others. Furthermore, aclt.exe is digitally signed by Autodesk, Inc - VeriSign Time Stamping Service, which makes it a legitimate and an essential process, that needs to remain stored in its folder, usually in C:\Program Files, or C:\Documents and Settings, or C:\Windows, while registered into the Windows registry, and running in the background of the computer system. The aclt.exe file is a Windows compatible, which means it works with versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, or Windows OS, including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aclt.exe. is used by AutoCAD (version LT 2002) or AutoCAD LT, If you shut down aclt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop aclt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AutoCAD (version LT 2002) or AutoCAD LT, from your system.

Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
