What is  aboard.exe

The aboard.exe file is a process under the Activboard Application. This is a non-system process which may have been installed on the system when the user downloaded some software. This is considered a normal part of the PC operations. This is a Windows executable program and process used by Activboard Application which was created by NEC Computers International. The file aboard.exe is Packard Bell ActiveBoard multimedia keyboard manager and is located in C:\apps\ABoard\ABoard.exe with a usual size of 24,576 bytes 90% of the time and down to 9,217 bytes in some instances. The aboard.exe is required if the user wants to use keys that are not in standard keyboards but present on Packard Bell Activboard keyboards also allowing user to see the status of Num lock, Scroll lock, and Caps lock key. This file is not a critical component of the system and considered safe and unlikely to pose harm to the system. This process can be terminated when necessary or when suspected to have been causing PC performance issues, problems, or malicious activity.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aboard.exe. is used by ActivBoard Application, If you shut down aboard.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
