Ad-Aware 2007 Service from Lavasoft, installed through file extension aawservice.exe, is part of the Antivirus suite of the company. The file specifically searches for, and blocks, incoming adware, spyware and malware. It protects the system against phishing by providing users with real-time Web-filtering applications. The file runs as a Windows service, which means that is enabled to run with every PC boot-up, by default. Users may stop the file from running upon startup by disabling it. Users may find the service as taking over CPU memory, as it has an average CPU utilization of 0.03103%, a rate that is way above the average CPU usage of most programs. Its average I/O read and write operations is also above the normal amount per minute, where the normal average is 1,873/minute; and the file’s I/O average is 19,577 per minute.
