what is a .dsy file?

These project output files can be created and saved in the DSY format using this software, which is a program integrated with features for synchronizing folders and files. The data stored in these DSY files include details and synchronization settings that correspond to two or more folders and the files inside them that were selected by the user during the creation of the associated DSY files. These files and folders can automatically be synchronized by the Directory Synchronizer application. These DSY files and the Directory Synchronizer software are mainly used as backup files. Microsoft Windows-based systems can be installed with the Directory Synchronizer program to implement support for the creation and modification of the content stored in these DSY files.

Directory Synchronizer

Directory Synchronizer

Directory Synchronizer is used for an easy and quick synchronization of folders or directories, and it is based on java small footprint directory synchronizer, constructed on "copy only different or modified files" policy and supports scheduling, simulating, synchronizing, logging, filtering of files or folders and path variables in bi-direction. By using this application, you can schedule jobs hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, at intervals or one time. It also enables you to match two directories on different computers at the same time to differentiate newer, older or missing files. It runs with Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista. Its primary purpose is to backup data. In cases where one computer crashes, it is better to have a mapped drive from another computer. It is important to backup your data on different hard drives and other storage media as you may know this will sooner or later fail. This software will help you save several copies of your files synchronized with least effort.

a word of warning

Be careful not to rename the extension on .dsy files, or any other files. This will not change the file type. Only special conversion software can change a file from one file type to another.

what is a file extension?

A file extension is the set of three or four characters at the end of a filename; in this case, .dsy. File extensions tell you what type of file it is, and tell Windows what programs can open it. Windows often associates a default program to each file extension, so that when you double-click the file, the program launches automatically. When that program is no longer on your PC, you can sometimes get an error when you try to open the associated file.
