The zumolauncher.Ink is a process that is launched together with the HP CloudDrive service. The zumolauncher.Ink was then a part of the ZumoDrive desktop client created by ZumoDrive which was an online cloud storage service until its service stopped in 2012. HP CloudDrive uses the same software and technology as ZumoDrive and is why it uses the same zumolauncher.Ink process in its software. Although the ZumoDrive service has stopped, HP Cloud Drive users will still be able to use their accounts. HP Cloud Drive is multi-platform compatible application which means it is programmed for Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iOS and Android. The zumolauncher.Ink, however, is only compatible with and is only found in the Windows operating system. HP CloudDrive uses cloud-based networking, which is a fast-growing networking solution for travelling business users. Cloud computing allows multiple computers to access a single network through a service on a web browser, a mobile app or a desktop client such as HP CloudDrive and Microsoft SkyDrive. The zumolauncher.Ink process is currently the property and is only in use by the Hewlett-Packard Company.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. zumolauncher.lnk. is used by HP CloudDrive, If you shut down zumolauncher.lnk, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop zumolauncher.lnk, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HP CloudDrive, from your system.
