The zntport.sys process is a system resource component bundled with other system driver files, certain Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files, some executable program files, particular background processes and various associated components that are used and referenced by the firmware distributions and driver software components of certain Acer laptops and desktop computers. The zntport.sys process is specifically deployed as a resource process of the NTPort Library Driver module, which is a system driver applet built into these Acer firmware and driver software distributions. This module provides Windows applications and scripts, with administrator consent, direct access to hardware ports of supported Acer laptops and desktops. The zntport.sys file is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of these Acer firmware components and driver software resources, which also means the zntport.sys process is integrated into the installer packages of these Acer firmware distributions and driver software downloads.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. zntport.sys. is used by Acer NTPort Library Driver Module, If you shut down zntport.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop zntport.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Acer NTPort Library Driver Module, from your system.
