What is  zlib.dll

The zlib.dll module is responsible for the compressing and decompressing functionality of the files in Windows applications. This module is a part of the ZLIB compression library which specializes in the use of the zip algorithm. This is a free software. As a compression tool, the zlib.dll file makes use of its capability by compressing algorithm like that of Zip and gzip formats. Called the ‘deflate’ method, this orginated from the PKWARE’s PKZIP. This file zlib.dll is portable across platforms which is different compared to other compression formats. Data or file sizes are not expanded by this program. Input data are not reliant on the memory footprint of the zlib.dll file and can be shrunk if necessary. Specifically, the zlib.dll file inflates files so that they are compressed about 20% faster compared to the other compression methods. It has the ability to encode and decode gzip streams upon inflation or deflation although this is optional. This file has an optimal data security.
