Process ycommon.exe also known as Ycommon EXE Module belongs to Yahoo!. This is the common executable process of the Yahoo! Browser which enables the user to sign in to his or her Yahoo! Account to all Yahoo! Products which includes Mail, Answers and Groups. Even though Yahoo! Browser is not installed, this process will still utilize in the Yahoo! Messenger. The credentials of the user will automatically be signed in by the Messenger in all applications mentioned. This process cannot be easily uninstalled by the user because Yahoo often hides its applications. This ycommon.exe process will use 99% of your CPU. It is a necessary Browser of Yahoo! that should not be deleted in order for the “yahoo messenger” to function, but you can have the freedom to uninstall the process if it causes harm on your computer system (Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Sony on Yahoo! Essentials or Deal of No Deal). Ycommon.exe file sizes on Windows 7 and Windows XP are 200,704 bytes, 229,376 bytes, 217,088 bytes, 212,992 bytes or 210,000 bytes.
