The vzcdbsvc.exe file is an instance of a Windows process called as VAIO Entertainment Database Service, and a component of the software VAIO Entertainment Platform, also VAIO Entertainment, VAIO Entertainment Database Service or Pinnacle MPEG Realtime Codec, which is developed by Sony Corporation for Windows computers. What the file vzcdbsvc.exe does is to monitor and index all multimedia contents on the computer system. This works automatically or manually, depending on its setup during or upon the installation of the software that houses the module. Also, this file only functions if the software is installed on the computer, but it is actually pre-installed on VAIO computers and laptops by Sony. Stopping this file can cause errors related to the function of VAIO Entertainment Database Service, or even the entire program. Therefore, this file has to remain running in the background to enable its task and all the functions of VAIO Entertainment Platform, VAIO Entertainment, VAIO Entertainment Database Service or Pinnacle MPEG Realtime Codec.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. vzcdbsvc.exe. is used by VAIO Entertainment Platform or VAIO Entertainment or VAIO Entertainment Database Service, If you shut down vzcdbsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop vzcdbsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is VAIO Entertainment Platform or VAIO Entertainment or VAIO Entertainment Database Service, from your system.
