What is vuagent.exe
The vuagent.exe module is a Windows process and an executable file, which is a part of VAIO or VAIO Update Merge Module, especially version x64, and a product created by Sony Corporation. This file is digitally signed by VeriSign, not a core file of Windows, but definitely compatible with Microsoft Windows operating systems, both old and new versions, which include Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Once the software that houses this module is downloaded on a computer, whether a desktop PC or laptop, or even a notebook, the vuagent.exe is installed as well, remains stored on a folder location, usually in C:\Program Files, if not in C:\Documents and Settings or C:\Windows. Whether the folder location is, the vuagent.exe process has to keep running in the background, because that’s how it is able to execute the software that bundles it. In addition, this file is included in sub-brand of Sony’s laptops called Sony VAIO.
