Called as VMware Host Process for Ufa Services as its service name, the process vmware-ufad.exe, a type of an executable or EXE file, is a part of the software product VMware Converter Hosted, also known as VMware Converter, or VMware Virtual Machine Importer, or Microsoft Windows Operating System, which is developed by VMware, Inc., or Microsoft Corporation. When the program that houses the file is installed, the process vmware-ufad.exe is downloaded onto the computer, where it stores itself on a folder, usually in C:\Program Files, or C:\Documents and Settings or C:\Windows, registers into the Windows registry, and automatically starts to run as a background module. Furthermore, the vmware-ufad.exe file is digitally signed by VMware, Inc. - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer, so it makes more legit and essential to remain stored, running in the background. As a Windows process, this file is compatible with certain versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. vmware-ufad.exe. is used by VMware Converter or VMware Converter Hosted, If you shut down vmware-ufad.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop vmware-ufad.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is VMware Converter or VMware Converter Hosted, from your system.
