The vmonitor.exe file is an instance of Windows process known by the service name Monitor SnapShot Button, which is a part of the application Vimicro USB2.0 UVC PC Camera, a type of digital microscope created by Vimicro. Vimicro USB2.0 UVC PC Camera is a type of camera processor that is exclusively made to be a single-chip solution, for the replacement of chipsets in some computer cameras, especially the IC designs. The different components, which include vmonitor.exe, are certified by Microsoft WHQL, as well as the USB Forum, to ensure its compatibility with Microsoft Windows Operating System. In addition, the newer versions of this software by Vimicro has been redesigned and enhanced to provide optimum performance with high quality, which is very compatible with later Windows OS, starting from Windows Vista. As the Monitor SnapShot Button, the file vmonitor.exe is a module essential to keep running in the background, so it needs to remain stored and actively working on the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. vmonitor.exe. is used by Vimicro USB2.0 UVC PC Camera, If you shut down vmonitor.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop vmonitor.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Vimicro USB2.0 UVC PC Camera, from your system.
