The virtualexpander.exe file is an executable application process bundled with Sony Micro Vault USB flash drives, which are external data storage devices that can be connected to the USB 2.0 port of the motherboard. The virtualexpander.exe process is specifically deployed as the EXE program dispatcher file of the Sony Micro Vault Virtual Expander software, which is a bundled Windows application classified as a file compression and decompression tool developed by Sony for compressing files, folders and even entire file libraries or directories into archives in smaller file sizes and for decompressing archived files, folders and directory libraries that have been compressed with the Sony Micro Vault Virtual Expander program. This means users can load the Sony Micro Vault Virtual Expander software unto the Windows-based system by executing the virtualexpander.exe file. The virtualexpander.exe process is integrated into the bundled applications of the Sony Micro Vault USB flash drives, which means the virtualexpander.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of these bundled applications.
