The file v0220mon.exe is also known as a Live! Cam Console Auto Launcher from Creative Technology Ltd. This is installed on the startup tab by the user's own creative webcam drivers. It is also preinstalled on some of the Dell computers that has been prepackaged with a Dell webcam where you can toggle Face tracking ON or OFF, or adjust brightness, contrast, burst rate, color, increase the gain, and a lot more. This program is 2Mb to 5Mb in size and it is recommended to keep this program in the startup task (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run) so that it will be always available in the system tray, as you may not know when will you be needing the process in adjusting dark picture in video conferences or voice calls. This file is not a core of Windows and is not visible. V0220mon.exe is a Microsoft signed file and considered to be safe, but scanning your computer is still recommended to secure your computer against viruses because some malwares camouflages itself as v0220Mon.exe.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. v0220mon.exe. is used by Live! Cam Console Auto Launcher, If you shut down v0220mon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop v0220mon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Live! Cam Console Auto Launcher, from your system.
