The tabtip.exe file is a necessary part of the Microsoft Windows operating systems as it is needed in order for the Tablet PCs to function fully. Its total size is 271,872 bytes and it is initialized at the startup of Windows. This EXE file is needed in order for the system to recognize the user’s stylus/pen inputs when they are used on a touchpad or with a Tablet PC. This process is described as a MS Tablet PC Input Panel and converts inputs from handwriting automatically from the user into text. The tabtip.exe process also enables the user to make necessary corrections with their text inputs before being inserted into any applications. This process also allows calling modules and translating the user input into library files to compare them with their respective text counterparts in order for these to be displayed on the Tablet PCs monitor for editions. The process tabtip.exe is included into the MS Windows XP operating system and it is automatically installed in a Tablet PC when used in as a platform.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. tvnserver.exe. is used by Tablet PC, If you shut down tvnserver.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop tvnserver.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Tablet PC, from your system.
