The trot.exe file is an EXE application process distributed with other executable program resource items, certain SYS driver components, some modular Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files, particular background processes and various associated component files that are needed by the Toshiba Rotation Utility software. This application is a Windows program classified as a component of the firmware and driver software distributions that were developed by Toshiba for certain Toshiba laptops and devices. This means the Toshiba Rotation Utility software and the trot.exe process among other resource components are implemented into the system upon the installation and configuration of these associated Toshiba firmware distributions and driver software packages. This also means the trot.exe file is integrated into the installers of these Toshiba firmware packages and driver software distributions. The Toshiba Rotation Utility software is a module that requires the trot.exe process for performing its intended operations as requested by the user from the system and the associated Toshiba firmware and driver software component.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. trot.exe. is used by Toshiba Rotation Utility Module, If you shut down trot.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop trot.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Toshiba Rotation Utility Module, from your system.
