An executable file called the traybar.exe process is a component of the Chicony traybar, which belongs to the Camera Assistant Software, a product created by Chicony Electronics Co.,Ltd., and made for different leading brands of laptops, such as Toshiba and Gateway, and tablets, like ViewSonic and AOC. As its name suggests, Camera Assistant Software is a program that is associated with the web camera. Its primary function is to allow a user to take or capture photos with the use and control of the web camera, through the traybar, which is a small, handy launcher of application running in the system, and easily accessible and customizable. The file program traybar.exe must not be deleted, but rather retained in the system, which is usually found in the folder C:\Program Files, or sometimes in C:\Windows, to enable the Camera Assistant Software to fully work. Moreover, it helps the user access his or her web camera for photo snapshots or video chatting.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. traybar.exe. is used by Camera Assistant Software, If you shut down traybar.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop traybar.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Camera Assistant Software, from your system.

Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
