On Screen Display (OSD) is a software developed by Lenovo and it contains the tphksvc.exe file. OSD is a superimposed image that can be seen on the screen. This software is being utilized by television sets, VCRs and DVD players. It is used to display information like volume, channel and time. The tphksvc.exe file adds functionality to the usual control on choosing viewing options. It is the control panel on the screen of the computer or television that enables the user to choose from the options given to him or her to adjust the display settings of the viewing pane of the user.
